It is a condition of experiencing sexual, affectionate, or romantic attractions and desires of the people of the same sex. It can also be referred as an individual’s sense of personal and social identity. It is one of the categories of sexual orientation from out of the three.
There is no acceptable resolution among scientists about the causes of why a person develops a particular sexual orientation. Studies have found that homosexual couples have significantly higher incidences of violent behaviour. In a recent study done by Canadian government reported that violence cases were twice as common in homosexual couples as compared with heterosexual couples. According to the American College of Paediatricians which undergoes different studies, the same results have been reported as was reported by the Canadian government. It is also stated that homosexual relationships have more chance to disintegrate than heterosexual marriages, with an average homosexual relationship lasts only for two to three years
